When we talk about the moon, the first thing that comes to mind is usually the image of a bright & beautiful full moon. And while the full moon is known for its incredible power to entice our energies & light up the night sky in incomparable beauty, we’re going to talk about a different moon today. The new moon is another beauty & powerful phase that greets us once a month, bringing with it a plethora of healing energies. And while the full moon is known for its power, the new moon is known for it’s healing. So for today, we’re going to talk all about the power of the new moon & how you can make the most of it.
Healing Properties
The moon cycles all have their different uses, & allowing yourself the time to work with each one will help to set you up for success in the future. With that said, the new moon is most known for its ability to bring about a new beginning. If you’ve been considering making a change in career or relationship now would be the perfect time to act on it. This is an excellent time to reflect on your past self & past goals, & ask yourself if you still align with them. But before you quit your job without a backup plan, you first need to set the intention for it. This all plays a part with your zodiac sign & characteristics as well. 1 ) Setting Intentions
In preparation for the full moon, the new moon reminds us to set intentions for what we wish to channel & what we wish to release as we approach the full moon. Setting intentions are key to manifesting our goals & dreams, & are something you have to put your full energy & being behind in order to bring them to life. This could be setting the intention for a new job, or a new lover, or whatever else. No matter what your intention is, set it with your heart, & keep believing in yourself if you wish to manifest it. 2 ) Let it all go
The next step in making the most of the new moon energy is letting go of energy that no longer aligns with you & your intentions. Take some time to yourself to meditate on what it is that’s holding you back & write it down. It could be something as simple as anxiety, or as complex as a bad relationship. After writing it down, it’s time for you to decide to release your connection with it & let it all go. Although this can be a difficult & emotional process, it is key to aligning you with your purpose. Also writing it down & burning the paper is a good physical & mental way to let these negative things go.
3 ) Take Action on it
And lastly, it’s time to take action on the intentions you set. If you really want them to come true, you have to work towards them every day. Create a routine with yourself to start your day with going over what you wish to accomplish, & ask yourself how you’re going to get there. Keep a journal, or write them down on a paper. Nothing ever came from just wishing, but planting the seed of intention paired with hard work & determination will get you there in no time.
