Privacy Policy

What AstrologyBay collects and what it does not: journals that stay on your device, cookie-free analytics, a newsletter you can leave in one click, and tools that compute without storing.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026.

This page explains what information AstrologyBay (astrologybay.com) collects when you use the site or the installed app, what we do with it, and what you can do about it. The short version: most of what you create here never leaves your device, and we set no cookies.

What stays on your device

Your journals. The dream journal, the tarot journal and the moon and cycle calendar store everything you enter in your browser's local storage, on the device you are using. Nothing you write in them is sent to us or to anyone else. Each journal entry also records the Moon's sign and phase at the moment you wrote it; that is computed on your device from the entry's timestamp, not sent anywhere.

Cycle dates are health-related information. The period and cycle dates you enter in the cycle calendar are treated the same way as the journals: stored only on your device, never transmitted, never used for anything except showing you your own calendar.

Deleting it. Each journal has a control to delete an entry or clear everything. Clearing your browser's site data for astrologybay.com removes it all. Because it never reached us, we cannot recover it for you, and we cannot delete it for you either.

The installed app. If you add AstrologyBay to your home screen, your browser keeps a copy of the journal pages on your device so they open without a network connection. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes that copy.

What reaches our servers

Tools and calculators. Birth dates, times and places you enter into a calculator are used to compute your result. Some tools send those details to our server to do the calculation or to render a shareable image, and the server does not store them. There is no account and no record of what you entered.

The newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email provider, Resend, so we can send you the welcome email and the weekly digest. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link; using it removes you from the list. When you submit the subscribe form we use your IP address only to rate-limit the form against abuse; it is not stored with your subscription.

The contact form. When you write to us, your name, email address and message are delivered to our mailbox by email. We keep the message for as long as we need it to reply and act on it.

Analytics

We measure how the site is used with Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not create a persistent identifier that could follow you across sites or sessions. We see aggregate counts: which pages were visited, which tools were used, and where visitors came from. We cannot see who you are.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, the page requested) for a short time for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

Cookies

AstrologyBay does not set cookies. The journals and your install-hint preference use local storage, which is a setting kept in your browser and never sent with requests.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties that handle any of it are the providers named above: Resend (email), Plausible (analytics) and Vercel (hosting), each only for the purpose described. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep things

  • Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
  • Contact messages: until we have dealt with them.
  • Analytics: aggregate counts only, with nothing in them that identifies you.
  • Journals, cycle dates, tool inputs: not held by us at all; they stay on your device until you delete them.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter from any email we send. You can delete your journal and calendar data yourself at any time, as described above. If you want to know what, if anything, we hold about you, or want it deleted, contact us and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights of access, correction and deletion; we honour reasonable requests from anyone, wherever they live.

Children

AstrologyBay is written for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

When we add a vendor, store a new kind of data, or change how anything leaves your browser, we update this page and the date at the top in the same change.
